Thank you very much Tim! Other than the cowl looks to be from an earlier version with a misaligned graphic, this is the final edit.

More good news, the Reliant recolors are done, uploaded and now waiting for moderator approval. The other recolors will be of most interest to forum members in the US given the subject matter and online documentation available, but some new graphics like anti-glare panels may not align perfectly.

I'd like to see more build photos, so the first non-INAEC model photo poster gets to choose the next Reliant recolor. The scheme has to be very similar or very simple so it can be a quick job. For example I have some good period photos for OK-ATP or OO-APM but they're monochrome so I'll need color data - or just supply color photos or illustrations. Looking forward to dioramas builders come up with, there are various papercraft Willys, Fords and Chevrolets that fit the time period, plus GAZ, ZIS, Citroen and Peugeot stand-ins.

Builders interested in doing their own recolors should send me a PM.

Stinson SR-5 build notes here!

I'm glad you liked the INAEC version, I was going to say enjoy the new recolors but I'm replacing the files. Don't get me wrong, they're buildable as-is, but I don't like how some graphics like the cylinder heads get distorted during the page rotation. Apologies to the builders who downloaded version one files, version two files are now up if you want them.

The twist at the end was the morphing from SR-3 to SR-5 proportions which threw off my scaling. To keep things simple for beginners yet please the experts I needed a 94% resize to keep the 1/72 scale - fortuitously this is also the reduction ratio when printing an A4 sheet to my default US letter sheet. Experts with percentage scaling printers using A4 can refer to the scaling guide page.

Another reason for replacing files is the smaller file sizes - for those of us with slooooow internet service every little bit helps, which is also why I opted for separate files per model. The trade-off is each download folder only has 4 slots so there's room for just one more, so I'm attaching the SR5 text-only build notes to this post.

It's not all bad news, the file swap will be done quickly. And I just posted on my Recolors thread about a new CAP aircraft folder which includes, wait for it, a new SR5 recolor!

For even more Stinson build options go to:

DGA Home Page -> Free Stuff -> dhc3007ski.pdf

This is a PDF with 1:48 optional winter skis for the DGA DHC-3 Otter, formatted for A4 paper - print at 2 pages per US letter sheet to get very close to 1:72 scale. I found a period photo of NC-15132 with skis mounted on main wheels but not the tail wheel.

For 1:72 diorama 2D figures go to:
juniorgeneral.org -> Paper Soldiers -> Early 20th
-> American Gangsters
-> Spanish Civil War
-> Others

juniorgeneral.org -> Paper Soldiers -> WW2
practically everything!

The pre-WW2 section even has 2 full marching bands and a bicycle band, the Spanish band in tan uniforms should be fine as-is. Gangsters and G-men would make a great airport getaway diorama.
