UH-1H Huey, Ejercito Argentino, 1/100, S & P, recolours Pacific Wind.
Greetings. Leave my E.III for a while to build this beautiful UH de Bruno repainted with the colors of my country.
Thank you very much Kacper. Then I will put some of the history of this helicopter that was in Malvinas. Following the thread of the Bell and taking the Kacper's advice last night I started and advanced a lot. The nose is a bit difficult but I got an acceptable job there. Up to here everything is going well. |

Looks pretty good. But I'm little worried about the engine area and tail. I think they're a bit too curvy on your Huey.
You may have problems with mounting the rotor. The top of the engine area should be flat(see my picture in the attachment)

Oh oh, that happens by hurry. Thanks Kacper, I can correct it, and look for real helicopter photos.

Thanks Pericles! It would be a good complement to your Pucara, if you want to build it is in downloads. Finish the UH, it is a fast construction, the nose a bit more difficult but nothing more.
Do not forget to put ballast on the nose, it tends to fall of tail . A very nice design and repainted. I hope I have not spoiled it, here the result. Last edited by Vinalssergio155; 07-18-2019 at 01:58 PM. Reason: Error |

Sergio, that's an amazing build. I wish that I could build with that skill at such a small scale too.

Very nice work, Sergio!
It's good to see you've repaired all mistakes so Huey looks properly now. Well done! Do you know history of this helicopter? When I was doing the repaint I had only a profile and the information that it was in Port Stanley on Falkland Islands in 1982. Would be good to know more about this particular UH-1H.

Gary, Kacper, Mike, thank you very much.
The AE-424 belonged to the BAC601 (601 combat air battalion) based in Campo de Mayo. 9 UH-1H were sent to the Malvinas in April 1982, carried out support missions, transportation of men and material, rescue, observation etc. Caught on June 14 was re-registered, then sold to the company Grampian Helicopters, late 80's was enrolled in Australia and later ended in Papua New Guinea. He made a nice tour of the AE-424 . |
