There's something special about cabin biplanes and this one is no exception. Looks good Péricles.

Many, many thanks to Pericles for doing a great job with the test build!
There's just some minor fixes before I release the WACo and its recolors, including a version for the still pending CAP aircraft folder. Pericles is planning some Brazilian recolors, and from what I've read Brazil used 100+ older WACo models which could be further kitbashed. |

Thank's Lorenzo! You made a great work my friend!
Is enjoyable design, easy to build and in fact is a great subject. Brazilian Navy and Army aviation used many variations on WACO planes in combat inclusive, the CSO version used like a fighter and bomber with a special kit to convert two seater in one seater to made a advanced trainer / light fighter. For ECQ I'm planning made a Brazilian Army plane of 1ª Seção de Aviões de Comando of AvMEx - Aviação Militar do Exército in 1930's - First section of Command Planes - Brazilian Army Aviation, and two FAB variations of colors used in 1940's one in silver/orange and other in OD/NG like USAAC early war color schemes... |

In spite of his many ongoing builds and getting the flu, Pericles and I have finally wrapped up the WACo EQC-6 design and build! DGA designers know about this kitbash, based on the fuselage of their MH 1521 Broussard.
There's still minor fit problems for the cowl parts due to paper thickness, but I've erred on the larger side and Pericles' trimming guidelines are in the download description. The files are in a new WACo EQC-6 folder and will be available after moderator approval. The WACo models are the PATCO EQC-6, the USCG J2W-1, the USAAF UC-72H and the YQC-6 in the CAP folder. The J2W-1 is an EQC-6, but there are slight differences with the rear doors of the YKC-6, and in addition the UC-72H is a ZQC-6 with a bigger engine and slightly longer cowl. I've chosen to do the CAP YQC-6 in Piper Cub yellow due to a lack of color data, but I'm not sure why there're stray lines around the USAAF roundels of the UC-72H. Anyway I was looking into doing some earlier WACo models, but it's more work than I expected as they aren't sesquiplanes but biplanes with a curving rear fuselage and a rounded fin. Pericles might be willing to tackle them for his Brazilian recolors. |
