The vertical tail is done and assembled. Two pictures from Life magazine give a good understanding of the vertical tail structure and the horizontal tails corogated skin.

And a close up to the tail

The horizontal tail is in work,

Hope that next post will be with fully assembled tail.

Looks like very good design coming.I've seen other attempts in imitating corrugated skin, some successful but most not so much.A lot depends on scale and especially quality and flexibility of card used.Gota keep on trying

I assume you burnished the inside first to give the raised effect. Looks good. And I love those old LIFE magazine pics.

Thanks Butelczynski, Rata and southwestforests. Sorry for the delay in responce, but I wanted to add an update.

The vertical and horizonta tailes are done.

Working now on the wings. Plan is for one center section and two wing sections- inner without corrogation and outer with the corrogation.

Finaly the center wing section is done, it toak 3 iterations to have the right shape. Started with a half mid section, an improved section and the final one.

Working on the wing inner section, starting to see the "yellow wings".
