you are, as the pictures are hosted on your Google Photos account, there must be something blocking us/third party from seeing your pictures

Yeah, I just get blank holding spaces instead of pictures in Firefox and Chrome.

Perhaps someone more knowledgeable can explain; but why use 'hosting' at all when one can load pictures straight on to this site?
