Hello all,
Started ths scratchbuild a year ago, and starting to see the finish line on the horizne. The engine cowling is done and assembled. The red section is done from 4 parts, and I smoothed the edges and painted it. The wings root fillets pose another chalenge, as the edge of it is round and not sharp as in most combat aircrafts. And this is the result I am not 100% happy with the solution, but this the best for now. In parallel the torpedo is done, also smoothed the edges and painted it. Shalom Mor |

It looks marvelous, I look for differences from an alternative I made in my youth. I cannot see any. Done very nicely Sir.

Great work Mor, I just went through the entire thread and it's a true quest. I wonder what the reason was for all these bright color schemes of US Navy aircraft. Considering the theatre of operation, the Pacific, I wouldn't call this a very effective camouflage.

Thanks Asaf, Mike1158 and Erik.
The model colors are before ww2 in the pasific - the golden wings area. For the war in the pasific the aircrafte were camouflaged like this one from torpedo 6 squadron. Shalom Mor |
