I was wondering for moment about that fairing for torpedo,Google it and sure enough there was one.I wonder how that torpedo well looked like sans torpedo-was there a window for level bombing like in Avenger?

Note light behind wheel well in the wing.I've never seen light in that position on any aircraft.

Interesting that the torpedo was carried in such a high drag position. If I was to design it, I would enclose the torpedo in horizontal or semi recessed position and if needed for proper separation, I would use a trapeze type of support like a Stuka or SBD Dauntless to position the weapon as it dropped.

Thanks Butelczynski, ARMORMAN and Isaac.

I really don't know what were the considerations for this solutions. In other torpedo bombers the torpedo was carried as seen in the swordfish.

At devastator take off, the torpedo was almost parallel to the deck.

It is possible that the aircraft high angle at take off and the window to aim the torpedo were the reasons.

The little light behind the gear is for night formation flying, so that you can see your leading aircraft.

Thanks scon 10 and MichaelS.

Work is moving forward, propeler is done and ready to assembly.

Main effort is the canopy, each part will be a separate foldout bonded to each other.

As the canopy is done from sections, planing 2 molds for the canopy - one for the rear 4 segments and another for the two forward.

Each of the 4 segments was bonded separately to the fuselage.

Forward mold is in work.
