Old Nobi Planes

Problem- How can I get some of Nobi's old paper models that do not show up on Thaipaperworks. The Vaultee XP 54 and the Gotha P60.

Good question.I emailed him about purchasing Fairey Battle and few other models but no reply.

I heard he did some excellent and unusual models but none of them are available any more.Frankly I'm sure he did more models than I ever heard about and chances are I would but some of them as well.

The proper approach would be to contact him and patiently wait for a response... Nobi is a busy guy and he does not always promptly reply to e-mails. Believe me, I had to wait at least a week before I get a reply regarding purchasing some of the older kits. I also see that more and more Nobi kits are being added to ecardmodels so keep an eye on them as well, your desired kit might show up there out of the blue.

Others (including myself) have sent emails to Nobi without reply. My main concern is that he's ok.

Indeed, Nobi did many beautiful models. Many of them remained available on Ecardmodels. He did a gorgeous Canberra and a Sea Vixen, as well as some experimental aircraft such as the XB-51.
It's not like him not to answer his emails. I too hope he is OK.

Fear not my friends while I cannot go over the nature of my contacts with Nobi I can safely say that he is ok due to the most recent e-mail I received from him.

I think I read back that he lost some of his older models in a hard drive crash

I'm sure he would get copies of them if he asked members here.He designed them,he has every right to ask imho.I'm sure more than a few people here still have those in stash.

Agree, I know I would offer him a copy of any of his old kits that I have. I imagine the membership could come up with with probably every digital model he ever released. Comforting thought.
