Very simple interior.

The canopy will come at the end when I can vacuform it.

Dolly

The plane was air launched while being towed. It had a dolly used on the ground that was released once the plane was airborne at take off.

Here is a sketch I found on the internet.

I decided to make mine out of wood instead of paper. I did not care about accuracy since this is a hotel build and good enough is good enough!

Here it is:
Florov 4302 MaksArt 1/33 scale-img_0225.jpgFlorov 4302 MaksArt 1/33 scale-img_0226.jpg

add doublers on fuselage

test mount it to aircraft.

These MaksArt models are unique subjects that are simple to build, nicely rendered and fun to build. For me these are the ones to choose if you want a quick departure from complex models.

Exclamation Canopy

I decided to be a bit lazy and use a mold I made for the other MaksArt Yak 19,30 series planes which are somewhat similar. Since the Florov canopy is smaller, only a portion of the full vacuformed will be used.

Here are the frames
Florov 4302 MaksArt 1/33 scale-img_0251.jpg

and the vacuformed canopy
Florov 4302 MaksArt 1/33 scale-img_0253.jpgFlorov 4302 MaksArt 1/33 scale-img_0254.jpg

trimmed and glued on.
Florov 4302 MaksArt 1/33 scale-img_0255.jpgFlorov 4302 MaksArt 1/33 scale-img_0256.jpgFlorov 4302 MaksArt 1/33 scale-img_0258.jpg

It is OK for a hotel build.

Thanks Isaac. I'm considering doing the Yak-30 after the P-47. I'm very glad that you did the build thread.

Okay, so I would be putting some fishing poles there with some bells and build while I wait for dinner to be hooked during my time building. HAHA!

Issac, I like the vacuform box you have there. Did you make yourself? If so (in case I missed it) do you have a list of materials and build instructions?

This is a purchased vacuforming box I got a few years back. However, there are plenty of articles here on building one.

I made a correction to your quote, as my name is spelled Isaac ( 2 A's, not 2 S's )

Thanks

Isaac
