Ages ago I build both S-199 and CS-199 from KP kits. At the time those were the only Messersmith models one could buy in Poland. I used really thick green oil paint that took forever to dry. Silver paint came from East German VEB kit of some airliner. I had enough of it left to paint Mig-17PF also from KP kit. I'm sure I still have some KP kits in basement.

Indeed a memory trip! I loved the old KP 1/72 range and at one point my 'stash' had at least one example of all of them. I thought then and still believe the Jaroslav Velc box art was up there with the best.
