Thank you all :-)
Three more Spitfires are ready: - Mk. IIa, 118th Squadron, P/O Alec Lumsden, 1941 - F Mk. Vb, 313 (Czechoslovak) Squadron, F/Lt Stanislav Fejfar, May 1942 - F Mk. Vb Trop, Aviazione Cobelligerante Italiana, 20°Gruppo, 51°Stormo, Leverano, 1944 (don't be surprised by the colors of camouflage, originally desert camouflage of these machines was overpainted in 1944 in Italian colors).

I'm happy to see another Czechoslovak ace model.Very cool.
I did't think Italians repainted their Spitfires never mind painted their cocardes before May 1945.I recall reading somewhere about confusion caused by new Italian markings and some order to retain RAF insignia on aircraft operated near front lines.I might be wrong or source might be wrong but late 1944 and 1945 was turbulent time on Italian front so it does make sense. |

Czech (and Polish) pilots in World War II on both fronts, it is my affair of the heart, since childhood. They were real heroes.
As for the Italian Spitfires, there is really little information about them. I used this website: photo_03
