The attack on Pearl Harbor began and Zero arrives! In my next series you will see the famous Japanese Zero. The first version is the A6M2 model 21 and, moreover, with surprise. Of course, the first model is a machine striking Pearl Harbor. The first surprise is his color. Everyone imagines a light gray machine, strafing rows of American planes on Ewa Field, but this is a mistake. More precisely, the light gray Zero. Little is known about it among modelers, but Zeros over Pearl still carried pre-war camouflage of medium gray-green color Kusa-iro M1. It wasn't until early 1942 that the color of Hai-iro J3 appeared on Zeros, in fact medium gray, which faded to light gray due to weather conditions. The second surprise is that although the model is written as plane of first wave's fighters' commander Shóso Shigure Ito from the deck of the carrier Akagi, the model also includes conversion parts for another 24 machines from all 6 aircraft carriers.
