Not yet. I'm also interested in the Fairey Battle and I'll definitely repaint it in the future, but I haven't been interested in it yet.

As I've promised, the next Hurricanes are from Battle of Britain. All of them are Mk. I late version, i.e. metal wing and 3-blade propeller and all are in marking of well-known aces from that fierce battle. Included is, of course, one of planes of the greatest BoB ace, Sgt. Josef František - the plane in its cocpit František scored some of his victories and, unfortunately, he died in it.
Well, here they are: - Hawker Hurricane Mk.I (RAF, 303. (Polish) sq., Sgt. Josef František, Northolt AFB, September 1940) - Hawker Hurricane Mk.I (RAF, 310. (Czechoslovak) sq., F/Lt Emil Fechter DFC, Coltishall AFB, October 1940) - Hawker Hurricane Mk.I (RAF, 302. (Polish) sq., Sq/Ldr. Mieczysław Mümler, Duxford AFB, September 1940) - Hawker Hurricane Mk.I (RAF, 257. 'Burma' sq., Sq/Ldr. Robert Stanford Tuck, DSO, DFC & 2 Bars, AFC, Coltishall AFB, October 1940) - Hawker Hurricane Mk.I (RAF, 242 sq., Fl/Off. Willie McKnight, DFC & Bar, AFC, Duxford AFB, September 1940)

Hurricane Nr3-I checked odd combination with squadron code near tail.It seems like 302 Sqr did that for quite some time, even some Spitfires much later are marked in this fashion.Anyone knows why?
Dude, you are making my day and it's not even Thanksgiving Thanks Gerry. |

Thank you for both of VVS Hurricanes.I was collecting materials for making those.
Re Ceylon based Hurricanes-at what date did RAF in India and East of it changed roundels and fin flashes to two blue shade SEA colors?Just curious. |
