As far as I know, these roundels appeared from the second half of 1942. For a very short intermediate period they were blue-white, with yellow rim, but soon dark blue-light blue appeared.

PR sorties carry set of their own dangers,I can't imagine doing one from Palestine or Egypt going in any direction in 1943.I guess Scandinavian sorties would be close to that level of very inhospitable terrain but much friendlier locals.

Thanks Gerry.

The last of many - 3 pieces of Sea Hurricane :-)

- Hawker Sea Hurricane Mk.Ia (FAA, MFSU, CAM ship Empire Tide, late 1941)
- Hawker Sea Hurricane Mk.Ib (FAA, 885. NAS, HMS Victorious, Operation Pedestal, August 1942)
- Hawker Sea Hurricane Mk.IIc (FAA, 835. NAS, Sub.Lt. A.R.Burgham, HMS Nairana, Bay of Biscay. May 1944)

And that's all, folks ;-) I'm tired of Hurries already. It's time to think about new type ... :-)
