Breguet 19

This week marked the 89th anniversary of the first Paris to New York Atlantic crossing in this aircraft. Does anyone know of a paper model of this one? The "Point d'Interrogation" looks like it would make a colorful and interesting subject.

A simple Google search provided a wealth of information about this plane:

Fitter did a 1/33 scale Breguet XIX series (#10 thru 10G in his catalog) that might become available again from eCardmodels.com as they rebuild their catalog. Fitter's models are all military but should be amenable to modification and recoloring.

I have that model from Fitter.
It's the B-2 version in Spanish Republican liverie.
I think the plane that you try to built is a very different variation.

I just checked-Bruno from S&P has number of Breguet XIX done but list doesn't indicate if one of them is record version.

By coincidence I read about this flight not long ago. There is an anniversary of another record flight on Bre XIX,this one was done in 1927 on Aug 27-Sept 25 .B.Orlinski and Leon Kubiak did Warsaw-Tokyo-Warsaw tour.

Ask Bruno nicely and maybe he will make one since it differed quite a bit from serial production model.

That's the problem. 'Point d'interrogation's wing and strut set-up were a very marked shift from other models. Undoubtedly could be done but, a) finding someone willing to do it, and b) does Curt want a 1/100 version?

I think Rata refers to the adaptions to the model not a building. Regards,Tony.

I was not able to find the Breguet in the S&P thread. My list of models from Bruno only listed the Breguet 690. So I might suggest to him that a model of this plane would be nice since it's historically significant.

Thanks for all the info!

Curt
