The Wargame Vault has a 1/100 Nord in several nationalities by Kampfflieger. It is in vector format and is easily enlarged to any scale. This may be of some help to your project.

I think I saw the finished product. However, those little ones have no interior, cockpits etc.....that I recall.

In any case once I build the model in 1/50 scale then I will see what is needed as far as improvements.

Also....

To enlarge it to 1/30 scale ( which is 1.66X larger ), I will either need to go to a printing place because the parts will not fit on a Letter or A4 size, or alternatively, cut some of the larger parts ( wings and fuselage ) into sections along a seam line somewhere.

Thanks for the tip.

Cool Initial set up

As it turns out, I am traveling again. So this can be considered another of my "hotel builds" model.

This time, I packed tools, parts etc.. in my checked in luggage with no problems.

However, the build will be a hurried version with no real emphasis on precision. Recall that this is a test build for a repainted version later on.

For starters, I needed to set up a small corner on a desk. As it turned out, I found a small cardboard packing pad and used it as a tool caddy. Just push the tool in and it stays put.

Building report will start soon.

Exclamation Lets build

As I stated, this is a scanned copy of the original kit I purchased back in the 70's.

after scanning as is, the parts are then printed on conventional 65 lbs card stock I purchased at an office supply store. It is a very mediocre paper in my opinion, but will do the job for this test build.

Again, my expectations are low regarding the final model ( especially since this is a very simple rendered part with mo details at all ). This is only a test build.

Here is a picture of the part which was scanned. notice that the scanner picked up the wrinkles, however, it is printed on a flat sheet, so it only looks that way.

printed parts are flat:

Glue tabs:
The normal old way of glue tabs is always flat strips

however, I need it notched so the parts can fit over the glue strips.

It will be interesting to see how well those hand drawn parts fit together. It looks like you're doing a great job with the kit so far.

Exclamation Fuselage forward section

Here are the fuselage sections

I can see fit issues about to happen.

the forward section construction here:

WHV Nord Noratlas-img_0358.jpgWHV Nord Noratlas-img_0359.jpgWHV Nord Noratlas-img_0360.jpg

My technique is to start at the extreme front, add a few sections and then insert a frame at a time.

The joints are not pretty mainly because of the sharp angular differences from the sections, the geometry was developed by hand and has some errors, as well as the quality of the paper I used for this build.

again, this is only a test build and I am looking for areas of concerns.
