The fuselage still looks pretty good Isaac. Once it's scanned, it would be pretty easy to measure the parts to make sure the matching parts are the correct size.
If you're thinking of scaling it to 1/30, it will be a monster. Gary

I use screws for counterweight in 1:100 and smaller models, larger ones get SS nut or lead projectile.I use rather heavy but thin cheap card so models tend to be heavier.

Hobby hole puncher and old paint brush work for me there.Paint brushes have tapering shafts, find size of the punch to match diameter close to skinny tip.Handling former on paint brush is easier since its there firmly and it only slides off one way.

This kit design will need lots of dimensional corrections if scaled up. I may be re thinking the larger version as much as I would love to build it. Isaac

Windscreen improvements
As I stated before, the kit was developed with a separation right thru the windscreen.
With a little help from my friend , the separated parts were joined and printed again on thin paper and glued back on. I further separated some of the panels to make gluing easier. a note; clean up and smooth the section with the seam or else it will show thru the thin paper. and glued on much better. Many thanks to my friend for this simple fix. I will employ this for the next repainted version of the Nord. Isaac

I am surprised in how much work these old kits need. But this is a good practice . Thank you for your help. We will do it again on the brown and blue version. Also, I will be using the high quality card stock I got from Japan next time Isaac

Wing center section
Here is the external skin of the wing center section
and the internal spar and ribs dry fit first dry fit to fuselage My technique was not to pre glue the frame to the wing section, but rather glue it all while being assembled to the fuselage. This way I could move it back and forth to match the fuselage mating area. Here it is. Not a bad fit so far. Note: Some builders preferred to attach the wings to the fuselage with the twin booms and wings all assembled as one unit. I personally will find it a bit difficult because the wings and boom structure are too large and will be difficult to maneuver for final gluing. However, if you want to transport the model, this is a logical attachment point using screws. Isaac

Twin booms
The Nord design is a pod type fuselage and a twin boom to house the engines and tail surfaces
Here are the parts and assembly. You will need a series of 2 or 3 long wood dowels in order to glue the very long seams on the boom. They narrow so fast that you will have a hard time gluing onto the tabs without a dowel. ready dry fit the boom; all looks good. then disaster struck and the gluing process caused the paper on the wing center section mating surface on one side to wrinkle severely. Possible causes: -The paper is too old ( even though this is a fresh print of a scanned original, I don't know how old is this paper ). It absorbed the glue and just went wild. -The Aleene glue may not be compatible with this paper. -The fit was off on this side. -I screwed up Lesson learned: It is OK if you are building a test or a throw away model. For the better model, you need to print of the best quality paper ( which I will be using my Japanese card stock for the repainted version of this plane ). On on Isaac

Horizontal stabilizer
The stabilizer/elevator combination connects to the twin booms and provides both the structural support to the booms as well as place the elevators far above the fuselage to allow for a clean drop in the air of troops and equipment.
The parts and glued on. Very simple fit. and an overall view of the model so far. Isaac
