Fokker Dr.1,by Gerard Methorst

Greetings.
After many problems I managed to finish this red devil of Gerard acceptably.
A very beautiful design of this super famous plane. Two failed attempts, three visits to the copy center, and to top a week in bed with a strong flu.
But the Friday I could at least get up and do something.
The problem was the wings, on the first attempt I was guided by the marks that Gerard indicates, but it is incorrect, it is very far back.
On the second attempt they were not well formed and back to start
Persevere and you will succeed, in the third attempt I achieve something more or less acceptable.
The design is very good, and in the end you get a very nice model.
Many thanks to all.

A very nice, clean build as always. No one would suspect that you had any issues. What is the scale? Glad to hear you beat that nasty flu.

I ran into similar problems, so I let it unfinished. The lack of instructions doesn't make things any better.
But it's good to know it is buildable (by someone with more patience than me).

Great work, Sergio! Looks really clean, no imperfections. Fantastic.
Dr. I is certainly one of those planes that every aviation enthusiast needs to build at least once in a life.

Thank you very much Don, thank you very much Ruben! The scale is 1/32. It is not easy, especially in the cabin that there are several pieces and formers. As there are not many instructions it is good to have photos and diagrams to be guided in certain parts. You can build very well.

Clean build,no doubt.

Was that you building Mr. Methorst I-153 in Finnish colors?I wonder what happened to that,I don't recall seeing that build completed.

I've been also looking for pictures of build or completed Fokker F-27 Friendship-no luck so far.Has anyone build one?

Thank you very much Karol.Publique both the Chaika and the F-27, check my threads, I don't know how to put the link to the threads. The F-27 is complicated, has some errors in the gondolas and windshield.

Your persistence paid off Sergio. Looks great.

Was this one another Richthofen mount? I don't recall seeing wing crosses like those before.
