Thank's my friends! Weel in my collection I have more CBY-3 whem Canadian Car & Foundry Produced.
The blue anti-glare pannel in fact I painted because the nose have some cracks, rescribe the black panel lines (but in the pics not show), I apply a Layer of semi-matt varnish but not wait dry to take the pics. Is the reason for a extra shine... |

Hello Pericles. One more question about technique. What sort of semi-matte varnish did you use to spray the finished model? I am just finishing the Oddball Sikorsky S40, with rigging using your wonderful surgical suture material method, and extra details (photos soon). I would like to protect it from dust and make it more sturdy. I used to use Johnson Floor wax, but found that it softened the paper, especially if it was under tension. Your varnish is just the finish I would like - what is the composition, and what is it soluble in? Many thanks.

Hello Rob!
I use a semi matt varnish in spray, this a local product manufacturing by Acrilex In attachmet a information schedule about manufacturer. But is a acrilic resin vernish. For make a more shine result is need apply two or three layers of varnish in a surface. The first is absorved by paper but the next make a real layer. |
