Nice work on this tiny replica of a historic and good-looking airplane.

Magnificent work Pablo !! The Lysander wings are not easy at any scale.

RAF and RAAF in Levant
Thank you Don, Sergio and Mike!
Finally I finished the Lysander that posed a few challenges. For the Lysander there was only one photography showing the desert camouflage and a few illustrations. The vast majority were in green and brown. I chose the desert camo so some license there. The info that I have on Levant is that the RAF and the RAAF had Tomahawks, Hurricanes, Gladiators, Lysanders, Blenheims (IV) and Beufigthers ready for the Syrian campaign, and for sure some transports. So next one I is likely to be a Blenheim Mk I rather than Mk IV, another license. After that I have to concentrate on the original topic, Vichy planes, not the foes! Happy modeling! |

BTW, the Lysander is a recolor of Bruno's 1/100

That's a nice little airfield you've got there. Great job on the Lysander!

A little detour, the Fi-156 Storch
Thank you Carlos,
I could not resist after doing the Lysander and the L-4 not to do the Fi-156 Storch. Which is a Frankenpablo, to simplify construction I used the basic framework of Trotskiy's design and on top I glued digitally Bruno's wings, fuselage and control surfaces. Again, noting wrong with Trotskiy's, is just that at this scale all the very nice graphics are lost. On the other hand, nothing wrong with Bruno's but at this scale gluing the wings to the cockpit and then to the fuselage was beyond my eyes and fingers! The Storch, may be light, but it is a relative large plane. Weighing a little bit more than an L-4. Its wing span was almost as big as the Lysander, with a bigger wing area, but weighing half of it. I hope you like this, happy modeling! |

The Storch still looks nice. 1:400 is definitely tiny and out of my comfort zone.

Breda 65
It has been some time I have not posted here, and in particular French aircraft, those remaining are multiengine or biplanes, more complicated. So I did an Italian plane instead that I wanted to build for a long time. Thankfully Pericles has done before Zio's Breda 65. Which its a little bit tricky to align the wings.
The Ba.65 had to soldier on in North Africa, after the failure of the very nice looking Ba.88, but with terrible performance. Surprisingly the Ba.65 did better than expected and even downed a few Gladiators. ps I wish I had the planning abilities of Pericles, I print faster than building and then what I cut can be waiting for a long time, but I could be detoured and print something and build it fast.
