D.520

There are some planes readily available from Bruno portraying the Vichy Air Force like the Potez 540 and 650, and now the 63. Also there is a Potez 25 that may need a red tail and a striped nose (noting complicated for the recolorist). In addition, the D.520 is portrayed by Bruno in 1/100 and by Marek in 1/50. This yellow tail white six was shot down in Syria by Gladiators. Likewise, there is one MB.151 by Marek and one MB.200 by Kampfflieger portraying Vichy planes. If there are others, please let me know!

I included printouts at 1/400. You may see that, unless you are Tatasam, the bombers/transports present an incredible challenge at this scale (I will let you know if I decide to do that in a weakness moment).

Some time ago, I recolored Trotskiy's D.520 in striped and in yellow, and built the later for its simplicity.

ps The red tailed Potez 540 served in Indochina while the yellow tailed Potez 650 served in Levant.

Thank you Don:
Bruno did other designs: the Breguet 690 and the MB 152, and a transport that was enrolled in the military, the MB 220. These I have not seen.

Gladiator

At a rated maximum speed of 407 km/h was at least 40 km/h slower than the French counterparts, but training and determination are valuable assets. Some Gloster Gladiators were allocated to the Levant front with some success. This is a WIP, and yes I am a little bit insane!
Lets see how the struts in 1/400 work?????

Its official I am a bit crazy

Gluing the struts in this Gladiator was quite an insanity, but I survived!
It took a lot of patience and a few tries, both cutting and gluing.
I have another foe.

About two years ago Victorino did a very nice series of Gladiators that inspired me to pursuing mine. Well finally!

There isn't a paper shortage. You can build these bigger you know! Amazing micro-work .

a little off-topic

Thank you Bruno and Rata, it means a lot coming from master designers, recolorists, and builders.

Regarding the shortage, it is not paper but space. In my other life I started with 1/72, moved briefly to 1/100 (but there was a lack of models) and 1/48 (but to big) so I moved to 1/144 or N scale, then I moved to 1/400 to consolidate with my ships.
It is parking space, given the same size of model I can fit 6 to 7 in the same space as previously!
I have to sacrifice detail quality for quantity!

ps: I like to keep the models I build, so "la patrona and la patroncita" gave me limited display and closet space
