1/33 pws-26
I've been working on this model for some time, so I'll start with 17 photos.
The model is a PWS-26, Polish advanced trainer from the 1930s. 320 planes had been built before the outbreak of World War II in 1939. It's a Maly Modelarz(year 1968!), laser printed on a better cardboard(original cardboard was awful). However, model is still very difficult , and inaccurate; parts don't fit correctly... It needs a lot of work and some patience too. Anyway, I'm trying to do my best.

It's coming along nicely.I always expected trouble with old MM models and sometimes I was pleasantly surprised. Biplanes were never my thing,Breguet XIX was I think my last MM biplane due to amount of issues.Card it was printed on wasn't helping either.
I'm glad you are able to build one.As I recall PWS-26 was one of last aircraft to be used in September 1939 campaign and one of the last to be shot down in it as well. |
