get er done... some of the assembly details. The ventral fin is one piece and has a slight airfoil shape so don't glue it flat. the pylons are fairly generic, there are small circles on the wing undersides that indicate where they should be placed. they should be placed just a smidge behind the leading edge so when seen from the top the mounting points don't protrude...

Next up is the bottom "petal" of the after nozzle. Most pics of thuds on the tarmac show this petal in the down position. the kit has this as one piece, I cut the top petal out to use this as one piece. The kit also has an inside insert with a bit more detail, this was a PIA to try and fit properly so the insides were just painted black. now its just a matter of attaching things such as the external fuel tanks...

arming the thud, next up are the finished aim 9B sidewinders and the bomb load mk 117 dumb bombs on a mer. also the rear landing gear installed. these were a simple matter of tubes with rings, Bruno's tried and proved little oblongs, a knuckle joint and a cut out circle for the landing lights. the support strut was eye candy that I added. the fwd gear is much the same except 2 lights and a triangle support that goes gear to fuselage...
