Here is the model so far.
a bottom view. Not my best work. I had a rough time with these wings. The fit on the bottom was not to my liking and the frames showed thru during the assembly process. I also have to fix one of the gear bays as well. Isaac

Hi Isaac - your Hunter is a fine example that shows the fact that it is one of the nicest jets ever build - the sleek and elongated lines are speaking for themself !

Hi Isaac,
Your build on this model is very good, if there is some errors it is hardly seen.. |

Isaac, if you don't know it you won't see it. Your Hunter looks very good, and it seems like a big model by comparing to the size of your cutting mat... There's a Hunter on display at the entrance of the Dutch national airplane museum at Lelystad Airport and in fact it wasn't such a big jet at all.

Thanks for your comments. The Hunter is a very good looking airplane. It has graceful lines and compliments its function as a front line fighter plane in the 1950's and early 60's. I got to see a few versions in the UK as well as Singapore and Israel. As a modeler, I built a paper version of it as a kid as well as a few plastic models. Regarding this specific WAK model, it is deceptively complicated. You would think that a round fuselage should go together well, however, trying to fit and glue the side air inlets, the thin strips of lips, the landing gear bays and the outer wings is like a Rubic cube. I concentrated on getting the best fit on top and making corrections on the bottom. In the end, it came out OK ( not great ). I suppose that the variability is directly proportional to the technique you choose to built it to. Isaac

Been following this with interest.
I love these planes and was fortunate enough to see them in action close up in the ground strike roles. They always looked so distinctive and I will never forget the throaty noise that the Avons made as they came in low overhead, as well as the "blue notes" as they pulled round and then sped home.
