After a long delay on this topic it is time to update it with the recent construction of the RTAF's Ki-21.

The Scissors and Planes model repainted by me on Inkscape, represents one of the nine machines sold by the Japanese to Thailand after the first phase of the conflict in 1942 (along with a batch of Ki-27 fighters) that were used in skirmishes and retaliatory attacks against the French until the fall of French Indochina, when invaded by Japan.

The details of the assembly you can find on the thread:My Scissors and Planes Collection in 1/100 - Take 2 from the pages #77 to #81.

Until the next...

Another excellent model, Péricles!

The Ki-21 was always, to my eye, a good-looking airplane in any markings, and you have captured the appearance to perfection.

Although this is a small off topic, one of the direct consequences of the war between French and Thai people was the Thai alignment with Japan and the intensification of the military presence in Thai territory, my recently completed Ki-27 is from one of the many IJAAF units stationed in Thailand between 1942 and 1944, this particular specimen belonged to the 77th Sentai and was shoot down in 1942 by AVG. Model repainted by Rata based on the original Scissors and Planes. Throughout the topic other machines with Japanese colors based on Thailand should appear, in the end the Japanese this country as a base to invade Indochina as a whole.

The detailed build with more pics is on thread: My Scissors and Planes Collection in 1/100 - Take 2
