Cool Two Repaint MIG-15 from Oddbal in 1/100 Scale

Hello firends!

Beside a some issues in real life, made a general lack of time in two or three last weeks, I finished this two repaints of old MiG-15 from Oddball make by me in Gimp and Inkscape, in another soviet colors. The first with a red bolt in the tail is from a Unknown unit of the V-VS units stationed in China, in June 1951. The second is a MiG-15bis of a VVS regiment deployed in Czechoslovakia (circa 1955) which made a forced landing in the West Germany as a result of a navigational error.

The original model is in 1/32 scale and make a very nice replica of MiG-15. With more time I make more repaints. I send to Aaron to sell in you shop...

Very interesting recolors.I'm sure I haven't seen any of those anywhere.I'm intrigued by yellow bordered Soviet stars on 8170 model.I tough that practice went away after 1950 changes in regulations. Those changes got rid of all other variations in stars (including Kremlin type and yellow borders). All personal markings on planes were forbidden as well.

I remember the Dragon 1/72 plastic having the yellow edged stars and the Print Scale decal sheet has the same. Can't vouch for the accuracy of either but if it's been done before I guess it's ok on this paper model.

Thank's my friends!

In fact I planning some exotic users for the next repaints, is a African and Arab air Forces like Argelia, Yemen, Egypt...

About yellow borders in star is a official variation on insignia used in borders areas in early stages of Cold War more common in AV-MF air units, used until 1956.

About personal markings in Afegan war is more common but in peace time in fact is not permitted.

Arguably out of all Mig fighters Mig-15 was only second to Mig-17 in number of users. In numbers produced I think it still is nr 1.Just going by that number of marking variation is easily 100+.

Anyone cares to guess who used Mig-15 the longest? I mean single seater fighter in combat role, not UTI trainer.
