That machine gun looks very realistic, Dan.

Thanks, folks. Erik: That machine gun is pretty amazing. Usually they look sort of silly with a paper cooling jacket (to me...I usually put on a PE jacket) but this one proved me wrong!

Tonight I got the cowling done and the tails started. Looking good thus far!

I need to figure out how to attach the tails. It's sort of left to the imagination... :P

Cheers,
Dan

Got the tails cobbled together. They look ok though some of the geometry is a bit off. Still looks the part! The tail skid is also nice to have on as it protects everything back there. I think the wing or the landing gear will be next...Stay tuned.

Made, installed and rigged the landing gear struts. I'll work on the wings this weekend!

Cheers,
Dan

Very delicate, the rigging between the landing gear struts. What’s your experience so far with the EZ lines?

Regards,
Erik

Thanks Don and Erik! There are many folks on here that are simply amazing. I just try to keep up!

Erik: I love it. I rig all of my plastic models with it too. It's not perfect and you can't really use it with turnbuckles to easily...but it looks nice and is fast when done. I just use thick CA to attach it along with some accelerator.

I actually have a lavish extremely well-produced video on the subject (ha, ha)! In case you want to take a look...

All,

I am starting the engine which is rather tedious but slow and steady wins the race. I got the basic crank case done and it will spin along with the prop on the firewall. I also got the prop done too.

More tomorrow!

VERY important aspect of early rotary aero engines that. But not surprised a talented builder like you knows that Dan.
