Mirage 3C Mali model Artz 1:48
Dear All - the original model was isseued in 1965. Since the basic design was good I tried to add the Yoav cocpit and afterburner section along some other changes !
This is a light grey colored mirage of the Israeli airforce served in the mid 60's at Hazor base in squadron 101! The model is from mali model artz and I scaled it down to 1:48 from the original 1:33. Yair |

This looks like one of old repaints of really ancient Mirage IIIc model.I have original,I build another original and build another one a decade or so ago.Considering age of this design it's a superbe model.
Someone did even better redraw of this model few years back.I've seen pictures of it and it looked magnificent but nothing like Yoav Mirage. Both designs are proof that simple works. |

I agreed with you about YOAV's mirage but all I wanted here is to show mali model in a better light with some modifications.

Mirage IIIc vs Mig 21 f-13
The mig 21 f-13 was the bigest enemy of the mirage but the late was much superior
in dogfights and came as a clear winner !!! For comparition reasons I put the two side by side - the mirage cocpit is not yet finished ! Yair |

Very interesting what you are doing Yair, blending different models into one. I have just started Yoav's F16a (downscaled to 1:33) and plan to use elements of the GPM Israeli F16D into it, such as the landing gear. Looking forward to seeing your finished Mirage. My experience with 1:48 aircraft is limited, and would like to test it once by reducing a Yoav model from 1:30 to 1:48. What paper size are you using for this scale? 160 grams?
