There is a second cone inside. Quite easy made from paper. Several layers of paper are pretty solid. Used glue to thougen tip.
Skin is on-top. Material for lamination is paperboard, usually from college block.

Welcome. There is no secret It's a good way for big plane models. Look for inspiration to ship section. Ship hull is almost the same as plane fuselage.
