Great re-paint Avro!

Thanks all for the kind comments!

My plan is to build it wheels down. I am going to finish the wing pods and tail and leave them detatched until the wheels are finished, then mount everything together. I am done with the tail and one of the wing pods, I should be able to post some more pictures tonight.

Excellent work on that repaint.Have you done any more similar Canadian (or other nations) repaints?

I'd love to see some more Canadian century series aircraft, particularly the F-101. Until then, here's the F-104 without landing gear. Not sure how far I'll change the ones FG provides, they look a little weak for the size.

Great looking build. Some stiff floral wire sandwiched between the two sides of paper, with a bit sticking out to mount the tires, does wonders to stiffen the landing gear. Remember that the forward main gear doors are almost completely closed when it is sitting on its gear.

There are some beautiful RCAF F-101 kits:
Cf-101
Will have encourage Gary to get them to ecardmodels again.

And of course Aaron has some CF-100 kits:

Keep up the great work.

And of course Aaron's CF-105 model:

And I guess the CF-116D could also be counted as a century fighter - a slight modification and repaint of the T-38 from Fiddlersgreen:

That is looking great so far, Snafu! Can't wait to see it all done.

Butelczynsk: I have done some other FG repaints. Roy Browns Camel, a repaint of the Pz III tank, a BF-109 in Spanish Civil War colors, a S-51 helicopter in Canadian markings, a P-35 in Swedish markings, The He-162 with what I thought were more correct colors, the He-178 (for the same reason as the 162), and the Douglas D-558-2 Skyrocket in Navy markings but I don't think I sent that one in to FB. I wont take up any more space on Snafu's post tooting my own horn!

John,

I'll talk to John Bowden about getting the CF-101s to ecardmodels. You must be familiar with this build.

Thanks,
Gary

I don't recall last time FG model generated this much interest, you would think someone from FG would be here to help out, inform and foster interest.

T-38 is also one of Aaron works? If anyone has it,how many liveries this kit comes in? Just one?

Yep, it is great to see a FG model looking so good. Looking forward to seeing it complete at the hands of a clean builder like Smitty.

For the T-38 (CF-116) there are just the two FG liveries - so far .
