Lavochkin La 5 in 1/72 scale...

Part of our completing the WW II Lavochkin series update is filling in some of the "gaps". Between the LaGG 3 and the La 5FN, there were two "transitional design" aircraft. One was the La 5 F (no "N"). The slightly previous was the La 5. Not an "update", these are two new models. "White 12" is the Winter version available;

Thanks Ryan. These all are pretty good "string flyers" when weighted properly.

I might have to try that sometime, but I'm in a season where things that are easy to break are not happening! My four year old boy really loves playing with any airplane and I've come to accept that right now is a time for breakage. Instead of paper I've been building eminently rebuildable Lego scale models for him!

I can understand that... When (sometimes) adults destroy a paper model, I get "peeved". When a child does, I try my best to laugh it off. Paper models, by nature, are not permanent. It is the design that persists. Lego-style bricks can come in handy. I got some from the dollar store. Here is K-dub's "White 27" La 7 working up.
