Wise words CMDR. I intended to do something very much along those lines as I show each subject. But I would hope that forum members would realize that even I know that every single WWII Luftwaffe fighter wasn't painted 'Dark Green/Black Green/Light Blue'!!

L29 Delphin

Thanks again. Next up is a neat little training jet the L29 "dolphin". Years ago Dr Zharkov released this kit in a couple different liveries the most striking being the tigermeet scheme. I don't have the skillset to duplicate that in the S&P model, Yet, so here is the Plain Jane version...

F86F 6-3 wing

The sabre jet was one of the coolest looking post war/Korean war jets. It just looks right, swept back wings, open airscoop up front, bubble canopy, and the features go on. The evolution of this bird came to the F86f series. a new wing was developed from all the new data coming in about aerodynamics as applied to aircraft. It was longer in cord, had air fences to deflect wind flow and of course maintained the all powered flight tail.
Bruno did a complete series of the sabre jet in very colorful schemes.
The 1/33 scale model was from Fly models and was marketed as a sort of dogfight double the 2nd jet being the iconic mig-15. I'm waiting for Brents beautiful migs to be released by ecards to complete the set, but for now here is the Sabre jet...

Nice models again CMDR. When I see well made large scale models I can really understand people's attraction to them. I quickly get over it by looking at one of Bruno's files or printed models waiting it's turn!

Did you mould those clear canopies or were they available as extras? Whatever way they're very good.

I molded them. I did a few repetitive tutorials on a homemade vacuum form machine, made from scrap wood, and using a shop vac for the machine. then using sculpey clay for molds and a modified clip board as the holder for the plastic. heat was supplied by the family stove and 2x3 boards for spacers. I got quite good at it, the peak of success was the canopy for the Maly TBD devastator. I'm currently working on the SH-60 which one of our members converted from Bruno's 1/300 series. A lot of it did not convert too well up to 1/100. so the last few already mades will be later.

Any chance you could provide links in your posts, like to the outstanding large scale airplanes that you are downsizing? Or is there a hidden site feature that allows searching for THREADS (vice individual posts) by authors.

Gene, you could go to a members name, cmdrted for me. go under statistics and search threads started by the member. Some of these kits were done when we used to be part of that other web site so I'm doubting a lot of the 1/33 scale kits are here on this site. I can't even remember the old sites name. Thanks for the interest and compliments!

This was overlooked! Impressive on any scale, beautiful works.The space is a setback, already in 1/50, that the scale that more handling is needed a good space.The 1 / 100,1 / 200 are great, you get magnificent models, you put them in any place and in a couple of days you already have one finished. And thinking about it, in the time a 1/33 is built, many 1/100 are built, seeing it so I'm not sure if space is actually saved ahor.😞

SH-60 Seahawk

All this time since the last post has been working, reworking, and more reworking the converted sh-60 from Bruno's 1/300 series. I built the GPM seahawk years ago and was quite satisfied with the fit. the finish had all the tail end parts a slightly off color printing but it kinda blended well.
As for the current project... wow. I'll start by saying in 1/300 it probably pulled off ok. The largest problems were in the nose to cabin fit. Well it kinda didn't.... Here are some prelim pics showing the attempts...
also the tail section to rudder fit, didn't the under engine part and the landing gear rootlets also had some issues...
