Meta Model
Halo friends,
does anyone know this publishing house? Searching XB-70 Valkyrie, 1/96 Scale Card Model Kit, does anyone have such in the collection? Marek. Poland. |

Bought one at the Air Force Museum around 1984 or so. Never build it, but no idea were it is. 5 or 6 moves between 2 states since that time, things have just disappeared.

Hello Marek. Some time ago, maybe 20-25 years ago, I corresponded with this designer. He is, or at least was, a professor of philosphy who taught ethics to prisoners in the state prisons in upstate New York, He also restores wooden aircraft models. His website is here: Doxaerie Model Aircraft See Gallery IV. J checked the USAF museum store, that used tio sell it, but all they have online is a plastic Italeri model and this T-shirt: https://store.airforcemuseum.com/mem...b-70-blue.html. It does pop up from time to time on EBay. Also worth checking with Peter Heesch. He has been selling off Lou Dausse's surplus, and may still have some Meta Models. I will PM you his contact.

Rob - Many thanks for this link. I was unaware of this wonderful website and am delighted to see the wonderful models this designer had built and restored.
Marek - I hope you are successful in your quest for the Valkyrie. Don |

Sadly I do not have the Valkyrie, but I do have the Cunningham Hall Racer, the Vultee Vanguard and the Hughes H1 Racer By Meta Models (kits 1, 2 & 4) am sure I had the Valkyrie at one time, but like another “poster” it has disappeared in a house move - Simon aka Wivenhoe Boy |

Not the kit you are looking for but Bruno gave away an excellent 1:300 scale XB-70 Valkyrie in his One model per (non-working) day thread. I couldn't say which post though, and it's a huge thread, but just ask on the thread ... someone will know what page it was posted on.

For what it's worth, here it is. Someone in the forum upscaled it to 1:100 scale without problem. Regards, Tony.
