When Mexico and Guatemala almost gone to War 3rd Part

Large number of possibilities were analyzed, but most of the hypotheses end with the instruction of the CIA and the American Government.
* At the time when the Mexicans launched the attack, some CIA agents were negotiating with the governments of Nicaragua and Guatemala, for the establishment of air bases and training camps for Cuban exiles who
* would form the 2506 brigade (Bay of Pigs). It is presumed that when the CIA learned of the attack, it forced the Mexicans to give up the bad attitude, mainly because something like that could lead to a war between the two countries, ending any possibility of establishing a major air base in Guatemala. , from where CIA planes could fly to Cuba with enough time to return safely.

For the proud Mexicans, it was an invaluable lesson. A bunch of Mustangs to fear, they never will be no match for the FAM. Immediately after the incident, the FAM began negotiations to acquire 15 MK-3 Vampires from the Royal Canadian Air Force. After that, Mexico bought a batch of T-33 to reinforce its fighting capacity, its land and sea forces were reinforced. Mexico would never be the weak country that Ydígoras wanted to confront.
* Guatemala, meanwhile, continued to operate its Mustangs until 1972, however after the incident, the only major FAG acquisition was eight Douglas B-26s that were donated by the CIA after the training of Cuban pilots ended.

From where did you obtain that information? Don't believe what dubious reputation YouTube channels say. That question is as Colombia is going to buy the F-35. Tony.

Maybe yes, more cheaper to operate that any fighter in the world (and more cheap to buy), better performance (in Siria, won to F22, in detection, and hours of flight), no political limitions. But . Is necessary for México?.
No, a helicopter is more useful (for natural emergencies / persecution of criminals) , in addition to the national aircraft project (currently trainers - PT400 pegasus).
If a fighter were purchased it would be based on:
No restrictions (No USA)
Good performance (minimum Grippen)
Economical to Operate (for example Mig and Su)
And if it can be manufactured in Mexico better (license)

The article "When Mexico and Guatemala almost gone to war" was taken from: Mustangs on the Prowl, Latinamerican Aviation History Asociation, downed link. But can find here1958. It's in Spanish, so let me continuing with the Vampires. Tony.

I already download them a month ago, they are printed waiting for scissors and glue, Thanks Salvador!!!.
The Pilatus should be the PC-7 because of the decorations, I assume they are based on NOBI design? Bruno has all of this decorations on his 1/100 line of models. Eagerly awaiting those Pilatuses. Best Regards, Tony.
