Thanks friends. Pilatus PC-6 Turbo Porter remaining schemes. I must hurry to finish them because I have already been late with these models and be able to move on to the next one, which is a helicopter. Best Regards, Tony.

No.16 Pilatus PC-6 Turbo Porter

STOL (Short Take-Off and Landing) Pilatus PC-6B / B2-H4 Turbo Porter passenger and utility aircraft of the Mexican Air Force. Of Swiss manufacture, four new aircrafts were purchased in 1991, initially they came with an attractive five-tone camouflage scheme, although years ago they switched to the dark green scheme. Two Turbo Porters were incorporated at that time in Special Operations Squadron 214 and 215 (EOE 214 and EOE 215) and the remaining two remained with Air Search and Rescue Squadron 209 EABRE 209), with the license plates TR-301 to TR-304. In 1998, through a restructuring of the FAM, these planes were transferred to the Air Surveillance Squadron of the Reconnaissance and Transport Wing of the 3rd. Grupo Aéreo and remain for aerial reconnaissance operations and personnel transport with license plates 3301 to 3304 (one of them lost some time ago in an accident). Apparently only one is still operational to date.
The Turbo Porter is manned by one pilot, and can carry up to 10 passengers or up to 1,200 kg of cargo. It uses a Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-27 turboprop engine with 680 shp and a three-bladed Hartzell aluminum propeller, giving it a top speed of 151 knots (280 km / h), a ceiling of up to 25,000 feet (7,620 meters) and a range of up to 870 nautical miles (1,610 km) with external fuel tanks installed. This aircraft is not armed. It is used in missions of infiltration and exfiltration of Special Forces personnel and for observation and reconnaissance. It has the ability to take off from unprepared runways thanks to its heavy-duty landing gear, in just 315 meters. In addition to our country, it has been used by Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, the United States, France, Israel, Iran, Switzerland, South Africa, Peru, Thailand, among others.
I build this two models based on PaperTigerArmaments kit and made the recolor, they are at 1/100 scale (original kit is at 1/72 scale) on 120 gr/m2 Opalina Paper. Now, with these, all Pilatuses schemes and aircraft that has served in the FAM are complete. Now must to move to the next build that is a Transport. Best Regards and Happy Modelling. Tigertony100.

Thank you for sharing. To tell you the truth I was unaware of the use of these planes in the FAM!
Nice recolors and builds.

Hello Modellers, long time since my last post here. Many thanks to cafe, wireandpaper and gomidefilho for comments and steping by here. So, I show you my WIP's on FAM planes. First there is the Fairchild PT-19 trainer plane; a recolor and christas gift by my friend rata (we all miss their navy and marines models planes), secondly one P-47 Pequa in his last scheme and participant in Operation Seagull and finally strugling with a Cessna 182 Skyline (this is the second try!). Best Regards to all and happy modelling, Tigertony 100.
