No. 17 TNCA (Talleres Nacionales de Construcciones Aeronáuticas) Serie H
Nationally built bombing and reconnaissance plane, TNCA Serie H Parasol, of the Aviation Weapon of the Constitutionalist Army. 1-H-8 machine (first H Series built, eighth aircraft in the fleet).Image circa 1919. The H Series is considered the first Mexican integral construction aircraft, because other aircraft previously designed and built had foreign engines and propellers. Not so the H Series, which used a six-cylinder Aztatl radial engine and an Anahuac propeller, both built locally. The image was taken in the Llanos de Balbuena(Balbuena Fields) to the east of Mexico City, around 1918 in lands who'll be later the National Airport. Fortunately, an exact replica is preserved in perfect condition, inside the Military Aviation Museum at BAM1. I found on FB a raw template of this early aircraft and scratchbuild the engine and the parasol. This construction means some first to me: the use of cyanoacrilate glue and rigging. Constructed on 120 gr/m2 Opalina Paper and the 1/100 usual scale. [/IMG] [/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] |

Excellent model. It looks like construction of this plane was inspired in large part by Morane Parasol types. That construction was very popular for a number of years.
For me the most interesting part is 6 cylinder radial engine.Very cool, elegant and simple looking engine. |

Thanks Gomidefilho,Sergio, W&P and Butecinsky as others that view this thread but no posting!!
Nope W&P no templates for Tololoche for now; She is on the design list. And Karol I dare to construct this plane because my friend and countryman Wireandpaper give me as a Día de Reyes (Holy Kings Day) the Farman F 190 from who's proceeding this TNCA engine. My next FAM buildings will follow this order (I hope I can follow the list!). 1.- Ryan STM Trainer 2.-Republic P-47 Thunderbolt in Mexican Soil Service (Operación Gaviota) 3.-Douglas DC-3 4.-Aerospatiale SA 330 Puma helicopter 5.- Lockheed T-33 all FAM schemes 6.-Ansaldo A1 Balilla With this I got for having fun and relaxation for the next two months at least! Best Regards and stay safe, the vaccines are already there!!!Tony. |

That's a very pretty little plane. You did a good job on the landing gear "trousers".
