Yes indeed, it's a Douglas DC-4. She has 10 passengers windows. At first glance I look at it more long. My fault. The designer took the DC-7 and shortened the fuselage. This is another hard to find item as well. Thanks for sharing your excellent build. The participation and feedback is more active in non-Mexican Modellers than the Mexican Modellers themselves!!! Junior Modeller John 401 sent me this picture depicting F-5 Tiger II with commemorative tails and seems to be the same archives as Lorenzo's have. The camo scheme is very generic, there is no alignment or coincidence in the camo patches. But they are free versions. Good constructions. Regards,Tony.

Boeing 737 vs Covid 19
The Boeing 737 helped bring back Mexicans who were stranded in various countries, as flights were suspended due to the pandemic. Thus they brought Mexicans from Cuba, Argentina and Ecuador, but this did not stop there, they also took Cubans, Argentines and Ecuadorians who were in Mexico on the outward flies. I already assembled this version of the Boeing 737-800 and recolored by John 201, but here I present it again. The FAM helping the civilian population. |

No. 6 Vought-Sikorsky OS-2U3 Kingfisher
All the Kingfishers were first acquired (twelve of them) in 1942 by the Mexican Air Force (as terrestrial version with wheels), and put to patrol the coasts of the North Pacific. When war was declared on the Axis countries, in 1943 six apparatuses were transferred to the Navy for patrolling the Gulf of Mexico from the port of Tampico, in Tamaulipas, but later this squadron was divided into two squadrons of three airplanes each, basing the second squadron in the port of Veracruz, to cover more efficiently the traffic of merchant ships and oil tankers that left the coast of the Mexican Gulf bound for the United States (of which, it will be remembered, six were sunk by German submarines). When having to operate for the Navy, these apparatuses underwent modifications, eliminating the landing gear by three floats, like those used by the United States Navy. They used a 450 hp Pratt & Whitney 985 Junior Wasp engine and operated until 1958. Here are the two green schemes they used during their time at the FAM. I tried to put in the antenna cable but it didn't work, so I chose not to put it in. The test of the Pilatus Porter PC-6 went quite well, although I have to put a tubular landing gear and align the triangles of the FAM. I have had the recolor of the North American AT-6 Texan for a year, the undercarriage needs trim and the leading edge of the wing as well; But unexpectedly I found that Forum Member Salvador Ortega already had made all the recolors of the AT-6 Texan, I am going to build them to see how they are. The next plane I'll show you. I am sure that the next plane that I am going to present you will be asked by more than one person. Best Regards, Tigertony 100 |
