Nobi's P51D Creamer's Dream 1/48
This was a very enjoyable kit to build, everything fit perfectly and I didn't even have to use any of the magic words I learned in the Army to put it together.
The only modifications I made were to make the prop spin and beefed up the thickness of the tail wheel. I added some full length reinforcements between the wing formers (probably weren't necessary). This was a free kit that I downloaded years ago, but I see it is still available at Nobi's site. I'm gonna go over there and buy a few kits, he has some very interesting ones. Mike |

Great looking P-51. Nobi designs some great models.
That said, very nice build. Gary

Great build. The nose art and name are distinctly NSFW!

Thanks guys, one thing I forgot to mention, the wing fillets on this model were the easiest to install that I have ever come across. They have a double fold at the back of the wing which took a little head scratching, but once you figure that out the installation is cinchy.

Nice build! I tried this one a few years ago and found some alignment issues. After seeing how well yours turned out, I'm gonna have to try it again. He made some other P-51's as well.

Don, I put the black part in, 13a, after I had assembled the scoop, same thing with 12a. I usually put all the bulkhead peices in after I glue the part they are forming, if that makes and sense.

The model looks very nice.
But I think the wings are a bit too thick for the model, maybe a designer's problem? YOAV |
