Anyone here built the FlyModel B-26 Marauder?

Just curious - looking for the best quality B-26 kit I can find.

bob martin did a noble & good build:
Martin B-26 Marauder 1:60 Flak Bait

But I wonder if there's a bigger kit? Or another to purchase and compare...?

Thank you in advance.

I myself would be interested in say, 1:33. I've started the other 1:60 Shootin in. It seems to be going much better with the new wings and without the inter wing support box. At least at this point the wings fit the fuselage quit well

To answer your question - I have not built that specific model but other models published by Fly Models in the same time frame usually suffer from skimpy instructions and diagrams, poor fit between formers and skins and a pale, out of register coloring. Unfortunately many of these old models are the only ones published before or since. The reprints done under the Gomix/Fly Model label (yellow border covers) are usually of much better quality.

Hmmm. Thank you. The B-26 is such a "natural" kit for cardmodeling...I'd pay the price for a Halinski/ModelArt version.

Of course, it's easy to be the wishful buyer...if it ever happens, I'm now committed to the first purchase! (laughs)
