Skyhawk A-4P, Argentine Air Force, S&P in 1/100
Salute. The second A-4 that I chose is the C-222, of the V Air Brigade of Villa Reynolds, San Luis, nicknamed "The Tordillo" by a pilot who is fond of the horses that when he saw him arrive with his gray color exclaimed "there el tordillo arrives ". This was the anticorrosive primer and the rush to use the plane did not allow painting with the typical camouflage.
This plane with its missions and miraculous saves made it perhaps the most famous Skyhawk in my country. These planes were designated A-4P, but the Air Force ignored this and continued to call them A-4B. The Tordillo had its first mission on May 21 attacking HMS Argonaut with bombs, although they did not explode causing damage that forced it to withdraw days later. June 8 participated in the attack on Sir Tristam and Sir Galahad, the latter was hit and destroyed by his bombs. A missile launched from the ground passed very close to the Tordillo. June 13 attacked the command post of General Moore on Mount Two Sisters provoking many damage, escaping back to two missiles, receiving damage to its engine but miraculously returned home. A brief comment on this valuable little Skyhawk in the history of my country. Here the model, great, although not easy. On the wings has the designation C-215, I guess it is a mistake although I did not get photos that clarify the doubt. I think I did a good job. |

I did a Skyhawk in 1:72 years ago,if my memory serves me it was a hair smaller than one on your pictures.Skyhawk was a rather small plane, just on very tall legs.
Very nice detailing for such a small model, good recolor too.Are you planning to hang some bombs under wings? |

Latinamerican planes at his best!!! You have at least 3 more schemes to go on this A-4 Argentinian Skyhawks. Very, very well done building process. I'll borrow your idea on the landing gear with wires. That is the greatness of Bruno's planes: they can be builded as themes and here is one of them , the Malvinas/Falklands War. Keep on friend. Best regards, Tony.

Dear Sergio - I started a fly model 38 Skyhawk and put it aside in the meantime - scale is my standard 1:48.
Tbe Skyhawk had a very glorious service in Argentine and Israel. I remember the Falkland war movies that shows the small nimble Skyhawks with the brave pilots attacking the British Armada !!! In Israel the Skyhawk served until 2016 !!! ( 1967- 2016 ). Yair |

Thank you very much guys!
Karol, Bruno's design does not include bombs, I am finding out if there is something there and if I do not have to make them, the intention is to include them. Tony, I have 4 more to build, 3 with the colors of Falklands, plus your P-2, Pablo's Skyvan, and many others. The year began with several Latin American airplanes, there are many and very interesting airplanes on these sides. Yair, what those brave pilots did with little A-4 in that conflict was admirable . |

Thank you very much Ted, thank you very much Karol, I love this place, when you need something automatically there is someone willing to collaborate. Argentina used the MK 17, the MK 82 or Mark 82, and the Spanish Expal BR-250 in the A-4 and Dagger. Thank you again guys.
