Exclamation Rudders

The vertical fins are attached to the lower wings. Structurally, they are very weak with small attachment points. I inserted a toothpick inside and then used CA ( instant glue to attach in place.

Take care to protect them during construction or they will break off ( I used a soft block between them to elevate them over the work table ).

Cool Canopy

Here is the paper canopy. Since there is no interior, there is no need for a clear canopy. You can print your own picture and have the frame glued to it if you wish.

I stayed with the original version.

Spinner and props

The model represent two sets of pusher propellers that are contra -rotating. The spinner however is a single unit and thus the props are fixed.

Remember to reverse the direction of the rear props from the forward ones.

and assembled to the plane.

Alternatively, you can use a plastic disc to represent the spinning props ( I did not do it ).

The model itself is now completed.

Cool Display

I decided to build a simple stand using page one of the instruction wrapping a cardboard block I got from IKEA packaging. I then used a wood coffee stirrer as a post painted it black and then mounted the plane on it.

And a few more pictures of the display from different angles.

Kind of cute display.

This is my next gift for my son. He now has four of my models and there will be a few more when I depart back home.

I wish I can now find a few more paper models of the Crimson Sky collection ( not including the Pandora ).

Now that this build is done, did anyone else build this model? or a repainted version of it?

Use of reflected image for coloring canopy transparency is interesting.

Someone ripped the models from the game, but I've never been able to find them.
