Thanks guys,
It is a pleasure to have somewhere to share finished effort when one’s wife could care less.

Willem E. You are correct the Tri-motor does have a flat bottom. In keeping
this a simple FG build there are no bulkheads.

See second photo. I had intended to accomplish a flat bottom by squeezing along the yellow line, both sides, but the sides need a sharp bend. It would be best to score along that line during fuselage build.

Thanks Murph, I hope the FG corrected pages have included underwing locators for mounting the engines.

It looks like there is another issue with the design of this plane. The registration numbers are on the proper wing but look to be backwards.

Yes, Curt. I agree.

Back when Chip was alive he sent a number
of prior FG new releases that I happily Beta built for him.

This Tri-motor has a number of issues, however, I guess I am no longer
involved, yet I do forward quality control comments now and then.

Chip and his Fiddlers Green Paper Models will always have a warm spot in my heart.

This is one of my early Oddball Productions designs. Looking at the files, the wing registrations are orientated correctly there. The only thing I can think of is that Bob has the wings on backwards.

I've been giving some thought to redesigning it to add all the new stuff I've learned since.

Nope, that's how they're supposed to be. 7 is the left wing, and 8 is the right wing. The glue tab always goes on the bottom.

What a beauty! Congratulations Bob. Maybe I missed something but is this the “Byrd bird” of the South pole expedition?

Regards,
Erik
