The Curtiss Condor II appeared in the early 1930s as a commercial aircraft of mixed construction, being a hybrid with modern technology (propellers with variable pitch, retractable electric landing gear) but covered with screen and with a biplane layout. It was operated by American Airliners (the model is in the colors of that company), being one of the first commercial planes with sleeping accommodation. China, Switzerland, Colombia, England used this plane for this purpose. With the appearance of the DC-2 / DC-3 and the Boeing 247, the Condor was at a disadvantage in the market, so Curttis redesigned the aircraft with the emergence of the CT-32, the first aircraft in the world designed to operate exclusively with cargo. There were military versions of the CT-32, known as AT-32 and BT-32, operated in small quantities by Argentina, Colombia, USA, China and Peru.
A very nice model to be built, the fuselage because of its "fish" shape and with many segments is the most difficult part, the model in the 1/53 scale draws attention by its size, but it is a perfect subject for reduction for smaller scales like 1/72, 1/100 and 1/144. It will be available for sale at Ecarmodels and Aaron's store soon.
