I too would like to have a copy of the vectorized model, so I did some more digging.
It appears that this is indeed a Bob Bendorf model. See A decent-sized KC-135R? for some discussion. Perhaps someone knows how to contact him. |

Also, unfortunately, there’s nothing really anyone can do about Russian pirated models. Unfortunately for one, US copyright laws don’t apply to them. As the owner/original creator he could attempt to go after them but there’s no action he could take against someone in the US who purchased it. Copyright law is not as straight forward as many Americans pretend to think they are. I regularly sell my artwork and turned it in to a business but one thing I was advised to do was protect my work as much as I possibly can because once a foreign entity gets it and wants to sell it I’m out of luck. Can’t afford the legal fees to go after someone in a different country. Regardless, I clearly stated that I didn’t want to share it without the owners permission and that I have been trying to figure out who created it and how to get ahold of them so you can move along next time. cheers. |

No acting here I made no assumptions about your intentions...I can read.
You asked a question (about sharing your modified version of someone elses model) I answered it. You don't like the answer...find a lower Horse. And your opinions on copyright laws and where they apply is irrelevant.

Also I have no clue where you got this from, because I certainly didn’t say this... I get the sense you intentionally seek out conflict?
I never said anything about assuming it was suddenly free. Take your imaginary conflict elsewhere please. |

The comment in italics was not directed at you.
It was directed to "people" at this forum ("here") that might have this opinion. Stop being so snarky and stick to your topic. This statement that you made might appear to some as question: "I’ve had a few requests for the copy I have. I’m not sure whether I can share it or not..." Do what ever you want...just don't share someone else's model without their permission. And that includes modified versions. Have you seen my boat?

How about you stick to the topic of my post? Why can’t we just enjoy paper models without people like you insisting on causing unnecessary trouble? I’ve been informed by a few people that this kind of behavior is normal for you and your kinda known for it on this forum. Welcome to my thread, would you like to enjoy the work I shared? No? Buzz off. |

The only people who get offended when I talk about paper model copyrights and intellectual property rights
are those who don't give a crap about those rights. And they usually complain that I am a trouble maker. Its odd that you've taken this all so personally. As I said, you made statement on a public forum that invited a public forum response. It was totally on topic. Your topic...about this aircraft model, your modifications to said model, and whether you had any rights to share it with others. The fact that you didn't get the thumbs up to do so, seems to have irritated you. Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz flutter flutter
