Modelik HS123 A1

Hi, I Have a ModelIk HS123 A1 (1/33). The problem is the colors of the printing are way off. The wings are almost black instead of RLM 70 and 71 green colors. The Yellow is also way off. I'm trying to figure out a way to fix it. Two choices are scanning it and "fixing it in post" or assembly it and try painting it like a regular model. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks, Michael

Best method is to scan on your computer and if you are somewhat savvy, use something like Photoshop or any other rendering software to re color it.

I know that many of the old models are terrible in their coloring and that is one reason, I stay away from them.

I think there is a better model in paper of this biplane.

This one has a bad rep as hard to build.

If you are to assemble and paint it, I would definitely suggest scoring all your panel and rib creases.

Hi, thanks for the info. I have the ability and software to scan it and recolor it. It will probably be a pain in the neck. I will tackle a couple of smaller projects before I get to this one.
