El Al Boeing 777-200 Paper Replika repaint
On the heals of finishing the Asiana B777 ( link here : Asiana B777 paper Replika repaint ), I decided to build another identical model repainted as El-Al Israel airlines.
So construction is identical, but with some lessons learned. Here are the parts :  and because it is an Israeli plane, I used the cardboard sides from a Matza box ( it's kosher now  ) to make the frames.  Isaac

Fuselage belly fairing
The fairing on the bottom of the fuselage is for the housing of the wing center section to the fuselage.
here is the part and attached. I used the marking for the rear door to position the fairing axially. So I know it is placed correctly ( or at least as intended ).    Attachment 407336  but...... The repaint, has a small section of the side striping go thru the forward portion. Unfortunately it does not match and looks out of place. Therefore it is a repaint error.  I don't think the actual aircraft has the belly fairing any coloring continuation from the sides. Here is a photo of it. Notice the belly fairing has no side stripe going thru it.  Isaac

Looks GREAT!!!! I got to know that livery while I was stuck at Heathrow check in for 2 hours because of a system error. The check in for El Al was right next to Asiana, and I think they were operating a 777 for that flight as well. Would be awesome to see the two together!!!

Wings
The wings are straight forward.
Inner spars here  They are then inserted to the cutouts in the fuselage ( do not glue them on ). I added small extra card on top to ease guiding the wing skins inserts ( see the Asiana build ). and wings on.   Isaac
