Excellent Yair reports! Thank you for showing us the differences between all these wonderful planes, like the stories of each of them. Your threads are extremely interesting.

Buccaneer vs Corsair II

The two represent the ultimate attack planes of the 20th century.
Each one of them has it's virtues.
The Buccaneer has an internal bomb bay and is a much better and stable in a very low flight under the radar beams.
It's ability to carry bombs internaly give him better speed up to 580 knots.
On the other hand the "sluf " - short little ugly fellow can carry the same load of bombs and has the same long range.
Both can carry very precise weapons as laser guided missiles or optoelectrical guided bombs.
The two are excellent examples of
how should an attack plane be.
The Buccaneer is the much prettier of the two in my eyes.
The Buccaneer was paticipating in the first Gulf war while I am not sure about the Corsair and both were phased out of service in the early 90's.
The only exception here is the service of the Corsair in the Helenic airforce until 2015.
In Britain some Buccaneers are still in flight status which is a fine
show how the British are addicted to maintain their heritage !!!
The Corsair is from GPM and was scaled down to 1:48.
