Here is next step in my build. SBD-3 was run by Wright R-1820-25 motor. I finished motor and cover for it...It was challenging step several parts only to build one cylinder....

Magnificent work Olo! I haven't had much time to check your thread but you're making impressive progress. I like all the details you have added to the engine. Luckily they will remain visible through the propeller.
Cheers, Erik |

Hi folks..Thank you again for your good comments about my build guys....I need help with my build..I am working on rear shooter section ,and I have found some models with one rear machine gun,but also some info and pictures with two machine guns at the back... My model is SBD-3 from VS-2 squadron that was based on USS Lexington and John Leppla was the captain. Could anyone confirmed if on this plane there was one machine gun at the back or two???? I found pictures of the same plane with one and two guns so which one is right ???

Hello Olo,,
In this specific aircraft I believe it was only one gun, based on a picture found in this link - picture of John Leppla's gunner with one gun. https://ww2aircraft.net/forum/thread...-leppla.46313/ Great modelling, Shalom Mor |

Magic, the engine on it's own is a masterpiece. As a whole entity, sublime.
