Adding to Bruno's F4 U Corsair, Cockpit and Pilot
Greetings all!
Been away for awhile. As part of my tribute last year to Robert Conrad, Pappy Boyington, and the awesome F4-U Corsair, I repainted Bruno's 1/100 scale F4-U Corsair as Lt. Gregory Boyington's plane. I designed a cockpit for it, and repainted Bruno's USAF pilot figure to have a USN Pacific theater uniform (and Boyington's Face!) to match. All done in Inkscape. I enlarged the cockpit to about 1/48 for the test build.... Best regards all, James |

Ah, so neat. I watched reruns of the show as a kid.. my dad would tell me of his days working outside and seeing the old warbirds fly over on their way to film for the show.
The islands frequently depicted in the show (famously the end credits) are just offshore from where I grew up and still live; Santa Cruz Island, especially. They're Pacific islands, so that's something accurate haha. |

You know that both became good friends while filming the series?
Here is a picture of them. If fact, Pappy appeared in a couple of episodes.
