Some pics of my old hand drawn Alouette III and Hueys (Bell 204/205/212/412).

The Alouettes are from the early 2000s. The orange one was the prototype and has a somewhat shorter front end than the others. The real first one though was a marginally bigger one I made circa 1986 in South African colors That one didn't survive the 1980ies.

The oldest Huey in these pics (white and blue civilian livery) is from... circa 1989-1991? The original was a red firefighting helicopter from Canada (almost certainly registered C-GMOR and on loan with the french Sécurité Civile at the time). The other Hueys are a later design I made in the mid 1990ies (the white 204 and 205) though most of these were built in the early 2000s. I made some with open doors. These are my 2nd and 3rd gen Huey. The 1st gen was bigger but remained unbuilt.

Some are photocopies. The're all stored in two tin boxes of Quality Street candy with a few other helicopters.

They look very decent!
In those early days no Wikipedia or anything like that. It was the books, magazines or access to a good library.
Good graph paper, a ruler, and pencil.
Thank you for sharing, I am glad they survived.

There's something special about pre computer creations. Not perfect by any stretch, but true art.

Su-25 from Rawen

Dear All:
Here is my build of Rawen's Su-25. I wanted to do it in 1/400 but at the end it was a little bit oversized at about 1/366. Note that I loaded some wires to prevent tail sitting. I have wanted to build this model for a looooong time. I hope you like it.

Ready for Action

Thank you Garry and Carlos for your encouragement.
Here is the Frogfoot getting ready for action. Of course after I took the pictures I noticed all this white spots, I only retouched some around the cockpit.
I didn't know but apparently the Su-25 has a number of air to air victories against the Narco and elsewhere. In particular, the Peruvian Su-25 have been credited with 25 kills!

Your Su-25 looks so good with those diorama options!

I've updated my old recolors of PR Models MiG-21MF and PF/PFS/PFM conversions and posted them to the DL section. There are a few more ordnance options. Also added the MiG-21I Analog. They're awaiting mod clearance.

Sure does.
I remember back in the early 80's being a bit obsessed about the Su-25. Western analysts knew about it but reports and vague photos were only trickling in slowly. No internet of course so for any latest info on it one had to wait for magazine articles and the like. It literally took some years before I finally had a clear picture of what one actually looked like and then had to wait more years to get hold of a plastic model.
F/Fwd to 2021 and here we are with 1/250 paper Frogfoot models to run off a printer at the push of a button.

Marry Christmas to all!
And thank you Garry and Carlos for stopping by.
And in particular Carlos, loved the Christmas Present, the Analog!
